7 Days by Eve Ainsworth.

I wanted a break from the book I was reading, which is The Hobbit, so I was looking through my book shelf and found this book: 7 Days by Eve Ainsworth. I started reading and I couldn’t stop! When I’m into a book I like, I find myself reading quicker than usual. That’s why this book only took me a couple of days to read.

Jess is overweight and shy and she is being bullied by Kez.  Kez is a bully who almost tortures Jess everyday at school with her words.

One of the things I like about this book is how the author has made it from the bully’s perspective and the victims perspective. In some bits I despised Kez, but once I found out was going on in Kez’s home life, I had a totally different attitude towards her. When Kez’s boyfriend: Lyn, starts to stick up for Jess things take a horrific turn.

This book gave me a whole new insight into bullying and how the bully can also be a victim. I would recommend this book to people who are looking for an insight on how tough the world can be and how to cope with it.

Another very mature book review, this time from Mia. This book touches on a subject that we often discuss in Class 4: the importance of trying to understand why people behave in certain ways. As evidenced by Mia, reading really does have the power to change how you think about things. Superb!
